For those of you that have been wondering about the status of our website (ThisisRnB.com) and why it hasn’t been updated on the usual daily basis, I first want to express my ever most gratitude for your continued support. For many of you, this will be the first time that you’ve heard from me personally. I’m typically a private person. So for that reason, among others, it has taken me a while to be ready to share this situation with you.
Whether you have been following us since the early days or only recently found us, myself and our team members extend our greatest humble thanks. While we love supporting artists and discovering new ones, it’s even more gratifying to be able to share everything with you, our community.
It has been difficult to deliver this news to our friends and family, but it’s important that I keep you updated and let you know that the website will be back. Last October, I received some very devastating personal news. At only 36 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and it was already advanced to stage 4, spreading from my colon to my liver and spine. At the time I was quite ill and needed to be hospitalized for a couple weeks.
Subsequently, I was unable to work and decided to just unplug from everything. This put an immediate hold on the website, social media, everything. Three months later, I am feeling much better in between treatments of chemotherapy, but the fight of this horrible disease continues everyday. The situation has caused me to step back and reassess our work and where the website and brand should be headed. However, at the same time we feel R&B is actually in one of the best places it has been in many years. There are plenty of young, exiting artists pushing the genre forward and in new directions.
This has been a set back for myself and my family, along with the website, but I want to assure you that we won’t be shutting it down. We will return to a regular posting schedule soon. I can’t wait to share this music and artist news with you again! Many blessings to you and yours. We’ll talk again soon, stay tuned!!

Wooow…Jamie. It’s sooo courageous of you to share your personal story with the world & I commend you for it. This hits close to home as my father also has stage 4 colon cancer & literally has days of left to live. Unlike you, he chose NOT to fight…so just know you have people out here who understand, support, & stand with you in your fight against this horrible disease. God is in control & my prayers are with you, Bro…stay up.
